Sim Automation GmbH

Sim is a construction office and special-purpose machine plant founded in VEB small metal goods plant in Heiligenstadt in 1959.
In 1992 SIM Zuführ- und Montagetechnik GmbH & Co. KG becomes a subsidiary of the Familie Julius Thyssen Holding Company and their manufacturing automation activities expanded. In 1978 they developed and manufactured the "Universal assembly machines" and in 1995 they created  innovative linear and rotary indexing machines, for which they received the ISO 9001 certification. In 2008 foreign agencies in Irland, Italy, Switzerland and India opened.

Sim Automation has already successfully created a zero-series assembly system working along with XOLUTION and is currently creating a pre-series system for the brand. Now it is also intended to provide a series production assembly system which corresponds to an arrangement of three series production systems in a row. the easy-to-open, easy-to-close closure for beverage cans that XOLUTION has designed, consists of three plastic parts and a pre-made aluminum lid and Sim Automation is responsible for the assembling process of these parts.

The different components to be assembled are: a frame body, an inner slider and an outer slider, which are provided from the injection-molding process as bulk goods and have to aged for approximately 24 hours after the injection molding, and a shell which is provided in standard packaging along with standard machines to unpack them.
